We’ve been hard at work, see industry insights, our accomplishments with our partners to provide organizations a standard in sustainable practices.
Looking back on 2021, we are inspired and humbled to reflect on what an eventful and exciting year it’s been. Our Truterra network has grown stronger with the addition of more than a dozen new retailers, and this network of progressive, like-minded retailers is blazing new trails on the path to evolving opportunities in sustainability. We are starting 2022 in an enviable position of scale and commitment to helping farmers envision, identify and reach their stewardship goals for the future.
Like the cooperative structure that underlies the Truterra business, our new members bring a range of different desires and dreams to the table. Recently we had the opportunity to ask a few of our new retail partners what they were most looking forward to about in joining the network. Here’s what they had to say.
Midland Marketing
Midland Marketing chose Truterra because it was built by farmers with farmers in mind. As a member of Land O’Lakes, we value its role as a leader within the agricultural industry. Many of our farmers are excited about our new partnership with Truterra as it will allow them to showcase their practice changes while helping teach others. With Truterra, our farmers are being paid for their efforts that work toward a better world for future generations.
We have only been a part of Truterra for a couple of months, so this is relatively new to us. We, along with our farmers, are still learning what the carbon market is all about. We are hopeful we will be able to get many of our farmers enrolled and continue to grow both the Truterra and Midland Marketing brands.
New Vision
New Vision is excited to be partnering with Truterra. We feel this partnership will allow our customers the opportunity to take the next step in their farm’s sustainability journey. In today’s ever-changing environment, there is much to learn. Truterra is one of the firsts to help promote sustainability and improve crop production while protecting the health of our soils. We look forward to using Truterra’s insights and platforms to implement new technologies to help us grow for the future.
Northern Country Coop
Northern Country Coop joined the Truterra network for many reasons. We found their carbon program to be the most farmer-friendly. They also work exclusively with retailers, so we are proud to be a part of their network. We also feel Truterra is one of the leading businesses for sustainability. They are focused on the big picture of sustainable agriculture which is shown in their impressive sustainability tool and continuous research and improvement. Northern Country Coop partnered with Truterra at the end of this summer. Through our partnership, we have educated farmers on opportunities for carbon credits. We also are excited to bring the resources and programs that Truterra has to local farmers with guidance and education. This will be the first year that Northern offers something like this so we're eager to let farmers know this is an opportunity for them and help them reach their carbon credit potential.
